Green Coast Rubbish is excited to be supporting the 5th Annual Lynn Valley Village Christmas Parade of Trees – a wonderful North Vancouver family tradition. During the month of December, this event sees Lynn Valley Village transformed into a magical forest of decorated Christmas trees.
We will be sponsoring (and decorating!) a Green Coast Christmas Tree. All of our tree decorations will be reclaimed from various clean up jobs throughout the year!
The Lynn Valley Lions will receive a portion of the funds raised from this event to support schools, families and individuals in need in the community. The fundraiser will also support the work of the Lynn Valley Community Association including a speaker series, trail improvement projects and community events.
We will be busy decorating our tree on Saturday December 5, with the grand lighting ceremony for the public being held on December 6, 2015. Be sure to come out and vote for your favourite trees during the holidays and to see what we’ve come up with!
Shhhh! Secret Santas, please don’t forget to bring a new unwrapped toy; donations will be collected for the Lynn Valley Legion’s Christmas toy drive during the Lighting Ceremony. Here is the childrens’ wish list to give you some hints. You can also drop off a Christmas Toy Drive donation on Wednesday, December 9, from 7:30 – 11:30 am at 1630 Lynn Valley Road.
