COVID-19 restrictions may have taken the spring out of your step when it comes to Spring Cleaning, but Green Coast Rubbish is here to help. Our company is fully functional and accepting requests for Spring Cleaning Pickups!
During the current pandemic, homeowners are required to stay home and avoid unnecessary trips to local waste disposal and recycling facilities. Many Vancouver residents have even been asked to defer spring cleaning or to store bulky and recyclable items that cannot be picked up by your regular municipal curb-side pickup for the time being. This is obviously a major inconvenience for homeowners.
Green Coast Rubbish is ready to assist in solving these and any other junk removal, recycling or waste disposal issues that homeowners may have. Our existing recycling and waste disposal partnerships remain strong, and we are able to safely pick up and ensure salvaged items will be reused and recycled as much as possible, diverting waste away from our local landfills.
Some examples of the kind of materials we can pick up include:
- Large and small household appliances
- Mattresses, sofas and other furniture
- Home electronics
- Organic and green waste
- Yard trimmings and leaves
- Paint, pesticides and flammable liquids

With that said, Green Coast has adapted and strengthened our safety policies and protocols during the pandemic to ensure the health and safety of our staff and customers. For the time being, we are shifting to a curb-side only pick-up model as well as asking the following prequalifying questions recommended by Health Canada and WorkSafe BC upon booking.
- Are you or anyone in contact with you returning from out of the country?
- Are you feeling unwell or do you have any flu-like symptoms?
- Have you potentially been exposed to COVID-19 in your community?
These questions must be acknowledged before booking. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to serve you if you answer any of these questions with “Yes”.
